New procedure to register plots in Tamil Nadu

According to the new advisory that will be effective from August 16, a photograph of the land with geo-coordinates should be attached with relevant documents.

Even if a building has been constructed, they register it as a vacant plot. This is causing revenue loss for the government, said an official. To avoid this, a photograph of the vacant plot to be registered should be taken along with geo-coordinates. This should be part of the documents being submitted for registration.
